Name: Lori & Glennon Location: Chicago Type: townhouse, owned Why we use color: We use color because it is a beautiful way to set the mood for our home. Nothing is better than warm color tones for fall. It makes any room cozy and warm while the outside temperatures are dropping! Simple throw pillows or colorful carpet tiles are an easy way to add color to any room. We use color seasonally, changing the mood of our living room from warm and cozy in the fall to festive and cheerful in the winter!

2 good color tips: 1. When looking for colors for your home, our advice is to look into your closet! Find a color you feel great in, and use it as an accent in your home. 2. To keep your home fresh seasonally, rotate in fun throw pillows, carpet tiles and colorful vases. Use colors that relate to each season: Ex. Fall- Burnt oranges, ambers and olives, Winter- Holiday whites with pops of red and green. 2 good color resources: 1. Favorite artwork in your home is extremely inspirational. Pull colors tones from the artwork you love! 2. Fashion magazines are a great resource for color ideas. With the next season’s fashions on newsstands early you can start collecting your accent pieces and be ready to go when the seasons change.
