While we are huge fans of digital photography here at Unplggd, we are also no stranger to 35mm. We are always on the lookout for projects to use non- working vintage tech in, and in this roundup, similar to the one we did recently on VHS, we look at three such projects from Instructables.
35MM GOOD TIMES:
1) 35mm Film Tote Bag This project from Instructables user Shesparticular shows you how to take mylar 35mm film strips and turn them into a photonerdtastic tote.2) Film Canister Flash Drive: What DIY roundup would be complete without a USB flash drive? Follow Bernard Bael's instructions to create your own out of a 35mm film canister.
3) 35mm Film Canister Mini Fishing Reel: Not just for catching tiny fish, this project by Lennyb can also be used to wind up and store a variety of thread, wire, and line.

Sheex Bedding
I make lamp shades out of old negatives...use the frame from an old shade, a little glue/staples/jewelry supplies (if you want to be fancy about it) and voila!
No incandescent bulbs though, they melt the film at anything over 25 watts....
@ MaiaJane that is a great idea and we'd love to see photos!
