We were recently introduced to a company that makes striking resin products with various botanical materials embedded in them. They're just dreamy and we can't believe that they're eco friendly, but they are!
The company is called 3 Form and they're based out of Utah. Based on a philosophy of sustainability, all of their products are eco friendly and downright beautiful. If we owned our place or were designing a new home we'd love to use some of the eco-resins as a shower door or anywhere that we wanted to have light pass through but still maintain some privacy. They do have gorgeous products ... too bad they're sooo expensive!
Their sample kits would make great coasters!
I've used their panels from the glass series twice. once for sliding doors in a credenza and once for inserts in kitchen cabinets. Not cheap--$165 for 4'x4'. But it is worth it.
I learned about 3-form from AT awhile ago.
Not cheap, but the pricing depends on style and thickness of material.
After researching the price of frosted plexiglass, 3-form all of a sudden doesn't seem that expensive.
Not that expensive when you start sources materials and finishes....This product has been used in architectural settings for years.
They can also be used for outdoor applications as well.
Can these panels be cut? Will they do the cutting?
If you visit the 3 Form website and click on "Reclaim" and then "Purchase", there are several 4' by 4' and 2' by 4' sheets of reclaimed designs for sale (they combine shipping for several sheets). You can find 2' by 4' sheets for as cheap as $40. I'm thinking of hanging one behind my bed as a makeshift headboard.

and yes, the panels can be cut by the factory however you want.

These are so incredibly beautiful. Seems like they would be out of reach for a lot of buyers at that price point, but if you use them in small doses (like swandive did with the door inserts), they might not be incredibly expensive.
