3 Stories of NYC Houseboat Living

In a city where housing is at a premium and all sides are surrounded by water, it's no wonder that some lucky folks have taken to living on the water. In fact, we're surprised we don't hear more of this.

Here are three stories of houseboat living in New York City, from the Upper West Side to Brooklyn's Gowanus Canal:

  • At the 79th Street Marina, the fee for the slip is at least $5,000 per year (this doesn't include the actual cost of the houseboat).
