We love seeing unconventional storage in action (especially when containers are being repurposed). In addition, we've never been drawn to the traditional jewelry box for storing our trinkets (always opting for a more unique approach). We've included a few unconventional ideas for storing your jewelry--let us know yours after the jump!
- Nuts and bolts organizer This is an awesome find for storing your bracelets and rings. We love the fact that the hardware organizer rotates for a quick scan of your jewelry.
- Vintage aluminum ice cube trays Even though these are ice trays, they feel glam and chic because of their aluminum coloring. A bit heavier and fancier than your plastic ice trays, earrings will look great stored in each compartment.
- Vintage mug stand A great way to repurpose a vintage mug stand is by storing and displaying necklaces. We would probably spray paint this vintage find white, to match our decor (but we're also thinking gold or silver would be a great transformation).

I use a huge Tackle Box with multiple shevles and compartments.. This is the best, you can spary them too if the typical Orange is too ugly.
That first one reminds me of Wall-E! He has that big rotating thing he keeps all his treasures in that looks just like that.
Great ideas! I also use a vintage rotating lawn sprinkler for hanging necklaces and bangles.
I hate seeing clutter in my bedroom. It all goes in two stacked silverware trays, which then go into a drawer. Repurposing can go too far.
I got my wife a Precision Tool Chest that she uses to store her Jewelery.

One person's clutter is another person's eye candy! :-)
I use a metal key box (the kind you hang on the wall) to store my dangly earrings.
Does anyone know how to find the first one? I've been looking all over!
I love the first one...
I use an oversized egg tray:

i use a Swedish flour bin with lots of compartments for spices and such. great for necklaces and rings. it fits about 30 pieces of jewelry easily and the drawers are Lucite so you can see inside.
I actually stole this idea from a friend. I use a shadow box (one that is hinged and opens easily while still hanging on the wall) to hang up my necklaces. I only have about a dozen, so it works well. I just use the pretty pins it came with, and arrange the chains and pendants the way they fit and look best. It makes a nice wall decoration with a very "me" touch.

I love the nuts & bolts organizer, but I do like to see my jewelry hanging. Here's a few unconventional ideas, too. I'm partial to the toilet paper holder idea myself. What do you think?
