I put together this post to kick off summer's first 3-day weekend, Memorial Day. Nomade Express Slee...
HA! Not on MY three-day!!! (Maybe on some regular weekend when I am caught up...)
I like 18 and 26 but I have my own projects to do this weekend...so I may try these another.
Thanks for the post.
I sadly spent Canada's Long Weekend (last weekend) doing a thorough spring cleaning of the entire house. Boring yes. But direly needed. These are great little inspirations for crafts when you need to get creative though!
I'm gonna need more than 3 days......
"Oh sure, you'll want to take some down time to drink beer and bask in the sun..."
Between drinking, basking, and DIYing, it might be nice to take a moment to honor the memory of those who have passed before us -- which is really what Memorial Day is all about.
I will make no sew curtain panels this week. We got new flooring earlier this week. Hardwoods in some places and carpet in others. New window treatments are in order.
Spending mine packing and shopping for an impending move... But once I'm moved, I may be doing a few of these!
I'm spending mine getting caught up with home projects. I spread mulch after lunch, ran errands all morning, and will bake up some zucchini bread and tomato bread this afternoon from my farmers' market haul this morning! I might get to painting one of the bathrooms tomorrow (let's hope, HAHAHAHA)
@RUSTYPATINA Hear hear.
Hmmm....too hot here! My husband did make a firepit in the back yard today though. Good on ya my love!
@rustypatina - thank you for not forgetting the importance or point of the weekend!
Lovely sentiment, all, but it's actually Labor Day weekend, not Memorial Day.
Leapkate, this is a re-post. It was posted originally before Memorial Day weekend and all those previous posts were from then.
If you'd like, we could start chiding people for focusing on self-indulgent DIY projects instead of honoring the sacrifices and contributions of the early labor movement and the current workers of the world!
