DIY has compiled a bunch of ideas for quick, easy alternatives to the standard painting or print for filling that empty space on your wall. We'll probably pass on the old license plates (too TGI Fridays), but some of the other projects are pretty cool.
For instance, we love these ceiling rosettes, which have been painted the same color and hung together in a cluster.

cptnruthless, Target has a similar one (although it's top is not wood) that cost me under $20.

HTH.
That list of DIY wall art should have read "29 ways to hang ridiculous crap on your wall & one cool way to display old doll clothing"
teeze, I don't think that's a fair review. Their suggestions just weren't in your taste.
I think it has quite a few really neat suggestions. At the very least it inspires me to come up with my own ideas for creating art on the (very) cheap. Bravo for lots of recycled items.
pricey.. if you use real plaster.
tashar, the ones they use are the cheap urethane.
teeze, frankly the doll clothes was the one I found ridiculous. So they're not for everybody. What on any one blog is?
Anybody know where that sofa is from?
some of the ideas are fun, and e few are really cool. not everything to my taste but definitely inspiring.
(teeze wins for rudest post on the subject, congrats.)
I know this is old, but I have to defend teeze here. This is indeed, well I'd say 30 ways, not 29, to hang crap on your wall.
