#32 - Nick's Lucid Lucite & Clinical Creativity

Name: Nick
Location: West Chelsea, NY
Size & Type: 450 sf Junior 1 (studio that was converted so that there's an interior bedroom now)

Favorite resource: Craigslist (people in my neighborhood have really good taste and are incredibly susceptible to bargaining).

Pitch: Like many people, my design ambitions greatly exceeded my budget, so I turned to Craigslist and the AT classifieds to furnish my home. (At $250, the set [only one pictured] of Lucite and chrome chairs was one of my biggest splurges...but I have a clinically diagnosed weakness for Lucite, so I couldn't help myself)...

Pitch Cont'd: The process of pulling it all together has taken a little over a year (and, of course, it's still a work in progress), but I think my apartment shows that it's patience and creativity - not necessarily a big budget - that matters most.

Your favorite element: My grey walls. Friends were really
against the idea ("it'll make your place look smaller!"), but I love them.

An interesting tidbit: My apartment is the exact same size as This one on your site. So it's interesting to see how different an apartment in the same building can feel even thought it's the exact same space.
