While the turn-of-the-20th-century bungalow would seem to rule in cachet around here, give us a 1950s rambler with big windows and an open floor plan any day. 360° Modern is a resource for anyone who is interested in Modern architecture in the Seattle area generally, and buying a Modern home specifically.

The beautifully designed site is a treasure trove of news and information including a database of the Northwest's iconic Modern architects, both historical and currently working, including pictures. But far from being a static site, we're most impressed with the community they are building by picking up local articles, speaking and networking events. The vibe we get is both authoritative and inclusive. The interface is beautiful and the homes? We gush.

On the real estate side of things, most of the homes listed are pricey (the price filter has two options: over $1 million and under $1 million), but the inspiration to be found is well worth the potential frustration of knowing owning one of these gems is out of reach.

360° Modern founder Richard Corff will be speaking tomorrow at The Lab, a series of talks and events at Velocity Art and Design. If you go you'll have a chance to talk to him about why he founded the business, how Modern architecture has stuck the way it has, and what Seattle's place in the movement was and is.

My boyfriend and I just bought the second house pictured after the jump, the one with the bedroom loft. I've been combing this site lately for decorating inspiration - what an honor to have my house show up here!
