Name: Sandra
Location: Boston, MA
Type: Two-bedroom apartment

Why I use color:

I live in a rented apartment, it is a fixed structure, the only way to change the character of the place is using a color motive given by accessories such as curtains, rugs, and bedspread. Color is also a way to decorate a place within a budget.

The colors reflect the mood it inspires; for my daughter's room I picked her favorites, the one she chose for her jackets, pants and dresses, purple and light green, those colors reflected her playful, bright, fun spirit. For my bedroom I chose a simple decoration, trying to recreate the simplicity of Japanese rooms and their plasticity, just removing a bed you can transform the room into another. I chose to give color with red details because it conveys the color of the passion that you can expect to have in a bedroom.

2 Good color tips:

1. Use the colors of your soul.

2. Use your soul color as a leitmotif
