Mimicking a tangle of vines, the 38 series planter chandelier is a new lighting concept from Omer Arbel of Canadian design firm Bocci.
Trailing plants are especially suited for the fixture, which features copper tubing snaking in and out and around a jumble of hand-blown glass spheres. The spheres house lighting elements and shallow free-form "vases" in the cavities for air plants, cactus, and succulents. A few vases even stand out on their own, creating a glowing, jungle-like canopy.
The 38 series is based on Arbel's one-of-a-kind glass-blown pendants from the 28 series. See more of the studio's projects here.
