Shaw's Original Fir...
As a kid I ALWAYS wanted to have my own action figure! But now that I am an adult, would I spend the $265 plus to get one? In my "kid world" things were always free... :)
For $265.00, I'd perfer to spend the day at a spa or shopping at a great street fair. No thanks.
while the general idea is great.. and it would be a fabulous gift or award for someone.. i would think it would take a massive ego to pay that much for a 10 cm toy of yourself.. someday ... :)
That's the coolest thing I've ever heard of! Too bad it's so pricey!
I think I could make my own with some Sculpy...
If it is not articulated, it is not an action figure.
It's a cool idea, but the scales are too small. If you're going to do a figure of yourself, at least do it in 1/6 so you can see all the details. And forget the whole figure. All you need is a 1/6 head to be printed out and then you can use any of the zillions of 1/6 bodies and clothing options to make your own custom figure.
@mattster, you must be a better sculptor than me -- I have bins of polymer clay (not Sculpey, I hate Sculpey) but that level of detail is too advanced for me.
I LOOOOVE these! The trip to Tokyo would be the REAL cost, though! If it ever comes to the Boston area, I'd be tempted! Just for the pure h**l of it!
just give it a couple of years and this will be much more affordable thanks to moore's law
