If you've been patiently waiting for 3D to hit mainstream before dropping a few grand on your new home entertainment system, you'll soon have the opportunity to experience it first hand, courtesy of your local electronic big box store, Best Buy.

The 3D demos will feature Panasonic big screens up to 50-inches wide, 3D Blu-ray, and 3D glasses, along with all the rumbling subwoofers you can handle in one sitting, courtesy of Best Buy's best speaker crop.

Sounds good? Just don't forget the popcorn...

The 3D demos should be setup and ready to rumble by the time Wednesday comes around and should be available at select Best Buys, with plans to reach about 1,000 locations by the end of the year.

The Panasonic's 3D sets being demoed will be stocked and ready to sell to interested customers. Although we suggest proceeding with caution if you're easily swoon by pretty visuals and have a sliding habit with your credit card - these sets don't come cheap. In fact, if you total up the TV, 3D glasses and Blu-ray player, and a couple of discs, you'll easily hit the $3k category in no time.

So, as always, proceed with caution. We know those Best Buy dudes are ready to pounce at the slightest sign of wallet weakness.
