Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. 3r. Opened in 2004, 3r Living's Park Slope location has been keeping the 'hood (and the rest of us as well) well-stocked in the green department. The products that you'll find in in-store and online are carefully selected with the clear intent of reducing waste, reusing unwanted or discarded materials, and recycling. They also have a great website for online shopping...

Owned by Samantha Delman-Caserta and Mark Caserta, 3r Living is full of what they like to call "future friendly products." The two carefully screen everything they sell which (thankfully) takes all the arduous green guesswork out of shopping for us. From Spike's Biodegradable Business Bags ($5.95) — yes, that business — to Compost Pails ($45), 3r's got almost all of the green living bases covered.

Right now we really like the line of cotton throws ($125) that they carry. They're made from pre-consumer cotton scraps that are collected after the cut and sew process (essentially, cotton leftovers). They even have a Green Wedding Registry.

The website makes it very easy to shop for exactly what you're looking for. And right now, they're having a 25% off sale! Enter Coupon code "feb09" at checkout.

*They also have a location in Maplewood, New Jersey.
