From trip journaling to sending postcards straight from your phone, these four Android apps are great arguments for keeping your phone turned on during your next vacation.
Postagram (free) pulls photos from your phone's gallery or Facebook and sends them as a real-life, personalized postcard for only 99 cents. Skip the tourist traps and send snaps from the beach while you're still on the beach, or when you've arrived back at the hotel for a little respite from the sun and fun.
BeerWhere (free) locates the nearest pubs, breweries and bars so that you can always find a quality drink while you're out and about. Works by a crowdsourced database, so if your local spot isn't in there, why not log in and add it to the database to help out your fellow travelers?
Check Rainy Days (free) before heading out to the beach or campground and you'll never have a trip rained out again. This is the best animated rain radar available, with no frills and a quick and easy load time.
Trip Journal (€0.99) is a great way to log your vacation for remembering and sharing later. This app tracks your travel route, attaches pictures and other metadata to the file, and records waypoints, as it tracks the whole thing by GPS and provides an exportable KMZ file.

Those are great apps! I'll definitely be using some on my next trip. My favorite trip app comes from my TV provider/employer DISH Network. I'm a huge TV buff so this app helps me in not missing any of my favorite shows while I'm away. Since I have the Sling Adapter hooked up to my equipment at home I can "sling" anything I subscribe to on my Android anywhere I go in the world on 3G or WiFi. It's great! I haven't missed a show or my local news on any of my trips since! The Adapter is $99, but those who order one now for a limited time can practically get it for free! Check it http://bit.ly/jizbUh. :)
