Are you looking to make your home just a little bit better in 2015? Good news: home improvement doesn't have to be a month-long (or even afternoon-long) process. Here are four easy things you can do to make your home a place you'll love a little bit more — while still leaving room in your weekend for all the other things you want to do.
1. Do a quick closet clean-out.
Clearing out clutter doesn't have to be a laborious process. In this video, professional organizer Fay Wolf shares three things that take up a lot of space — but won't take a lot of time to clean out. Your house will feel so much lighter.
2. Hang some artwork.
Artwork is a great way to instantly perk up any room, and this video takes the guesswork out of hanging it up.
3. Add storage where you need it.
If you constantly find yourself without a place to stash things in a particular spot, like the bathroom, or you're always carrying things back and forth to a particular place, why not add a little storage exactly where you need it? This video shows how a simple IKEA cabinet proved to be the perfect storage solution for a tiny bathroom.
4. Create a landing strip to control the clutter.
In order to stay happy with your home, you'll need to tackle clutter right at its point of arrival: the front door. Setting up a landing strip (trust us, it's easy!) will go a long way towards keeping the rest of your home organized and happy.
