Whether you've accidentally run out of makeup remover or you're looking to switch to something more natural and gentle on your face, these four solutions are inexpensive and easy to whip up, so grab those organic cotton balls and raid the pantry.

1. Cucumbers

- Try lightly blending a cucumber into a paste, adding 1/2 cup of milk, and simmering for 10 minutes. Wait until it's cooled to use; lasts for a week.

- Take the juice of a fresh cucumber and mix 1/8 cup with a few drops of baby oil.

2. Milk

- Pure almond oil contains vitamin E, which is great for skin.

- Castor oil can be blended in a 1:2 ratio with many other oils, including almond and grape seed. Or try it with two equal parts canola and extra virgin olive oils.

3. Oils

- Milk is a useful cleansing ingredient. Mix a tablespoon with a few drops of sweet almond oil and rinse your face thoroughly.

4. Yogurt

- Plain, unflavored yogurt is all you need to gently cleanse the makeup from your face. Be sure to wash thoroughly to prevent any kind of bacterial growth from the dairy.
