When our home is clean, organized and looking good, we always feel better, work faster and enjoy life just a little bit more. It's these actual physical feelings that have us aiming to improve the look of our home through fun DIY projects.

But, sometimes we just don't feel like spending our Saturday slaving away (especially if the weather is nice). Even though we're not always in the mood to put the work into our home, we love enjoying the end results.

I really loved Abby's post earlier this week: 7 Tips To Keep Your Home Clean (And Your Spirit Lifted) because she outlines easy and relatively painless ways to keep your home feeling fresh and you feeling energized. I think there are four types of DIY projects you can tackle easily, that don't require many tools or time and can be done by just about anyone (even if sometimes you need Home Improvement Sources for Non-DIYers). Our four favorite (almost) tool-free DIY project ideas that you could do this weekend:

Rearrange or switch rooms It might take a little muscle power, but rearranging the furniture in a room is a tried and true DIY project that always packs a wallop of good-feeling effect afterward. On a smaller scale, you could always just rearrange tabletop vignettes or art collages. On a larger scale, you could switch rooms!

De-clutter the media center I don't know what it is, but this is almost always a messy spot in anyone's home, and a tool-free project to tackle easily that will make a huge impact on a living room, TV room or office.

Freshen objects with paint The most tool-heavy project on this list. You might need a little sand paper, maybe a little primer and most definitely some paint, but this is one way to instantly add a face-lift to any item you already own and in turn, makeover an entire space. And, because you are choosing the size of the object, you get to decide how much of your weekend or budget you spend on it.

Add flowers The easiest, possibly most delightful way to brighten a space. Think you've seen it all when it comes to flowers? The Apartment Therapy post Our Best Flower Tips For Decorating Your Home rounded up all kinds of ideas that you might not have thought of before.
