Sheepskin is something that might pop up in several different places in the home. For adults and babies alike, the material is soothing and oh-so-soft. Here are some places to use it:
- At the bedside
- In a chair
- Over the back of the sofa
- In the nursery

We have the ubiquitous sheepskin-on-a-chair set up, borne out of necessity - keeps me warm and cozy on the old windsor rocker. I highly recommend it for comfort. I sewed a little loop of elastic and a snap to the back of ours to secure it to the top of the chair and keep it from sliding off. It is virtually invisible.
I'd like more sheepskin in the house, but don't want to overdo that look, you know?
A tip for cat owners: Take an Ikea sheepskin and cut it in half lengthwise. It'll fit nicely in the window, and your cat can lounge on it. My cat Charlotte sits on hers every morning and even bathes it!

CatSitterintheCity, I'm so glad someone else's cat bathes her sheepskin!
Lotti, it is so sweet. Charlotte gives herself a little bath in the morning and bathes her sheepskin, too. She'd love to give the schnoodle she lives with a bath, but he won't stay still for one. :)
So funny! My cat Zilpha grooms her IKEA sheepskin so often and with such intense focus that I refer to it as her boyfriend.
My elderdogs love their sheepskins. Big Boy will carry his from room to room like a security blanket.
