Usually it's the bedding at the W Hotel chain that inspires people to check out their online store, but we're more interested in some of the other home decor pieces that are featured...
- World Time Clock A well-designed solution for keeping time all over the world - just turn it on one of its twelve sides depending on which time zone you need.
- Animal Shot Glass One of these (we're partial to the rhino) would be perfect for holding cotton swabs in a black and white bathroom.
- Message Candle You can get a candle anywhere, but we're interested in this one for using the container after the wax is gone. We'd write "keys" on the outside and drop ours in so they'd always be easy to find.
- Illusion Table For around the same price as the Peekaboo tables at CB2, you can get one with a lot more personality and the same clear, great-for-small-spaces look.

It's still pricey.

I stayed at the W hotel in Times Square recently - it was for work, not for play, and I was very disappointed at the whole "form over function" vibe of the place. All I wanted in my room was LIGHT, but there was none. There was a tiny lamp by the desk, another by the mirror, some ambiance lighting by the headboard - but nothing that would work to brighten the whole room. I couldn't even see well enough to unpack my suitcase. It's a nice hotel to look at, but a giant pain to stay in.
That said - the rooms have these fabulous reading lights - adjustable pinpoint LEDs that are attached to the back of the headboard. They were perfect for reading in bed at night and I'd love to find them or something similar for my own bedroom. Of course they're the one thing that I can't find on their store's website!
