It is incredible to see a tiny 430 square foot apartment transformed into an oasis of modern bliss. This turn of the century Swedish flat in Linnaeus Town, Sweden is exactly that. The space looks open and airy (and quite practical, considering the size!)
Sliding wall panels, the secret to the success of many a tiny home, hide the TV, bookcases, and two large closets. The combined bedroom and living area opens up into a small kitchen with laundry space and a bathroom, and a gorgeous fireplace is nestled into a cozy corner. The icing on the tiny cake is the stunning balcony, which boasts expansive views of neighboring rooftops and mountains.
Mini apartment? Yes. Marvelous home? Absolutely.

Shaw's Original Fir...
That deck is really nice, very happy and cozy and with a nice view, as far as I can tell. The apartment looks much bigger and the crisp, clean design is "to blame" for that.
the long sheet that covers the mattress and box spring/bed frame in the first picture - where can i get one just like that in a queen size?
Sliding wall panels, the secret to the success of many a tiny home
Reeeeally? I have seen many tiny homes (on AT) but I don't recall seeing any with sliding wall panels before this one.
Augh, the gaps between the floorboards upset me, thinking of how dirty it will get. D:
How about that gorgeous plant in the white pot? beautiful
Thats an amazingly beautiful little home!
I love it! Beautiful details, great view. That kitchen is great for being in so small a place.
It's so beautifully appointed, yet I get the vibe of the kind of decorator-run home decor and bedding shops I find in the affluent communities around my area. I expect everything to have price tags.
All those whiter-than-white Swedish apartments are beginning to look the same to me... too styled, too white.
AT has given many more pictures than usual..thank you..400plus really..great resourceful deco..the many plants, cheerful color, balcony ,view =distance, even the stencil on the wall.
Why so many locks on the door? Is this apt. in the complex shown in the pic.are all the apts. this small. I am downsizing...this has given me some ideas. I'm ready to have a cup of coffee now.
I could live in that space easily. So restful and airy. The only think I don't like is the industrial look created by the exposed pipes in the bathroom. Other than that I am ready to move in and I have multiple sticky rollers to clean up after the black cat!!
WOW. I love it! If I were single and living alone, that would suit me perfectly. I seem to have no sense of style. GAH! I'm jealous!
I love the black-and-white print in the second photo. Who is the artist?
Cracks between the floorboards--any good vacuum will get any dust or dirt out of them.
The exposed piipes in the bathroom and the multiple locks on the door probably stem from the same thing--an older building. Hard to retrofit plumbing. People install newer, better locks, or keys get lost and an older lock can't be re-keyed.
I deal with all that plus exposed electrical conduit in a 110 year old building. The view and the sunlight are worth it. Although my place looks nothing like this one, sadly
"One of a kind DESGIN?" Eeek!
Lovely,it almost could make me forget im claustraphobic!
As for the exposed pipes in the bathroom that's how it's done here in Sweden, even new builds and houses have the pipes exposed. Also the kitchen, bathroom and hallway is not included in the living space, just the living room and bedrooms.
Oh I hate seeing apartments that are the same size as ours but seem twice as big! So gorgeous.
The Swedes really know how to live! Their design aesthetic really puts us Americans and our McMansion mentality to shame. I'll take this over self-indulgent opulence any day.
