Name: Alison
Location: Boston, MA
Type: Owned 2 bedroom
Why I use color:
I use color to add richness, layers and personality to a room.

2 Good color tips:
1. Check paint and fabric colors under all applicable lighting
conditions (i.e. incandescent, fluorescent, daylight, etc.)
2. Use neutrals as a backdrop (in this situation I choose white
cabinetry and stainless appliances), and use more vivid colors for
accent and to add visual interest.
2 good color resources:
1. Current shelter and fashion magazines for what's "in"
now, and design books for historical inspiration.
2. My local paint store's wall of paint chips is a great
resource -- I can (and do!) spend hours there

Love It!! Pleae tell me specificallly what color the WZ backsplash is. Also, I feel a little silly, but when I look at the paint chip for Nantucket Gray, it looks barely green at all. In the pictures above, it is definately green. Am I missing something or is it just lighting differences? Thank you so much for your response.

I am very interested in using soapstone countertops when I remodel the kitchen. Where did you purchase yours from? How does the pricing compare to granite?
the wall color is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s....what brand/color number is it so I can see if it will work in my kitchen??
