Why I use color:

We love color. How color is chosen and used in our home plays a critical role in shaping its mood and character, and says a lot about who we are. Whether used as a dramatic focal point or a subtle accent, color can add vitality and personality, and even a touch of the unexpected.

2 good color tips:

1. In a home, colors with warm undertones will make it feel more comfortable and inviting than colors with cool undertones. For example, blues and greens with warm undertones won't feel cold. Many paint companies provide this information on their color swatches.

2. Color is a lot like wine, with its many layers and complexity. The more you look at color and train your eye, the more you'll see and appreciate.

2 good color resources:

1. Farrow and Ball Paints.

2. The book Mood Indigo - Decorating with Rich, Dark Colors by Vinny Lee.
