I'm an avid blog reader, and include sites from near and far, and by bloggers both famous and virtually unknown, on my daily must-read list. Since moving to London nine years ago, I've added more and more UK-based blogs to my reader; here are five that I think are worth adding to yours.

Will Taylor needs no introduction: the color-loving blogger has been at it since 2009, and in addition to being of of the UK's most popular design bloggers, he's now also got a best-selling book under his belt. His blog celebrates all things bright and beautiful, and covers product launches, home visits, travel photography and daily musings, all with an eye for color. There's something for everyone here (except perhaps hard-core neutrals fans).

Fabric of My Life

This is another one you might have heard of, but it doesn't hurt to be reminded, especially when the content is this good. Kate is the blogger behind Fabric of my Life, and offers up consistent content for her loyal readership. Product launches in the UK, beautiful home inspiration, and peeks into her life and travels are relayed through Kate's signature style and beautiful photographs. Posts are usually brief and the content type differs from day-to-day, so for me Fabric of my Life is a bright spot in my day.

Moregeous

This is a fun and informative read for those who are into the building and technical side of design. Sian is a "lady builder" (as called by a client) from Manchester who is in the middle of a complete building renovation to her home, including a new extension. She's also an interior designer, residential landlord and TV presenter, so her blog covers a wealth of topics, from discussions on the merits of different types of cladding to advice for readers and (building) product reviews. It may not be the prettiest blog around, but I've learned a LOT from Moregeous.

Ben Pentreath's Inspiration

Ben Pentreath is a multi-talented, London-based architectural designer, who also includes interior decorator (he's done work for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), published author and co-owner of the fantastic Pentreath & Hall interiors shop on his resume. His charming blog is a must-read for anyone with a penchant for traditional style, country life, or well-told stories.

Posts are wordy and refreshingly personal, and cover everything from design updates to Ben's two homes in London (Queen's Park and rural Dorset), sneak peeks into client work (though unfortunately not Kensington Palace), detailed travel updates and general London life. I particularly love his photographed and detailed walks around London, which are as informative as they are fun.

The Londoner

Rosie Thomas' lifestyle blog, The Londoner, is utterly addictive and just a tiny bit ridiculous (but in the best way possible). Prepare to be charmed by Rosie's witty writing, adorable pup Custard and brilliant dad jokes; and a little incredulous over just how many holidays this girl goes on, and how she looks that good despite (seemingly) subsisting on a diet of burgers and champagne.

The Londoner isn't a straight design blog, and instead offers up a bit of fashion, lots of recipes, a big dose of foreign travel, and of course, news and happenings from London town. As a Londoner myself, I love it for frequent and reliable restaurant and culture recommendations.
