Nothing feels better than your first breath of the winter morning air—especially when you're bundled up in sweats and knits. But all of those layers really get in the way of your day-to-day tech routine. Let's face it: Gloves really aren't touchscreen friendly, and your beanie doesn't leave a lot of room for your Skull Candy headphones.
But we found a batch of cold-weather accessories that prove designers are getting hi-tech. Each of these goodies is designed to keep you warm, keep you connected and keep money in your pocket—everything here is under $60.
- Dots Gloves ($15.50 to $20, DotsGloves.com) are made with a conductive material, meaning that you can leave them on as you browse your iPhone waiting for the bus.
- Hoodie Buddie ($44 to $48, HoodieBuddie.com) is your standard-issue, kanagroo-pocket hoodie. Oh did we mention the Hoodie Buddie features earbuds that are built in? How's that for sleek? Just plug your iPhone in inside the pouch, then pop the earbuds (at the end of the hoodie strings) into your ears.
- Neff Knit Headphones ($42, UrbanOutfitters.com), from the skate, surf and snowboard headwear company of the same name, are the perfect hybrid of earmuffs and heaphones—boasting a bass-boosted audio experience and a cozy knitted exterior.
- North Face ETip Gloves ($40, TheNorthFace.com) are touchpad and touchscreen friendly, just like the Dots Gloves, but have the backing of a tried-and-true outdoor outfitting brand.
- Sound Disk Beanie ($60, UrbanOutfitters.com) integrates heaphones and a cell-phone compatible microphone into a noggin-warming beanie hat, thanks to an ultra-slim disk speaker.

Shaw's Original Fir...
My advice is to try out touch-screen compatible gloves in the store. I bought a pair for my husband as a stocking stuffer, and they flat out did not work. Can't remember the brand, sorry - but moral of the story, test 'em first!
I love the Hoodiebuddie. That is a really neat idea, and I could really use that for when I jog in the early morning. Their site says that they're washable, too.
is anything on unplugged NOT iPhone/iPad/Mac centric?? There ARE other options out there that are just as good if not better. how about some discussion on Android phones for once?
I seriously feel like I have lamented the fact a couple of these didn't exist in the past....another missed millionaire opportunity sigh
Am I seriously missing anything because I just plug in my earbuds and then put on my beanie?
I don't get the point of that hat, sorry.
