A chair in the bedroom has been discussed here at Apartment Therapy before: is it a relaxing place to linger or just a clutter magnet? Maybe it's because we don't have a chair in the bedroom, but we imagine a small one in the corner would come in quite handy.
We're sure we wouldn't hang out there for extended periods, but it would be a nice perch for dressing, sitting for a bit - and yes - tossing a garment or two when we're in too big a rush to put things away properly! Here are a few we would consider if we had the space:
• 1 Cleo Chair at Anthropologie, $998
• 2 the new Mina Chair at Room and Board, $799
• 3 Marcel Armchair currently on sale at Pottery Barn, $599 - $799
• 4 the Tutumu by Bonaldo is a compact chair suitable for the bedroom and rolls out into a sleeping mat for a house guest
• 5 IKEA's Stockholm easy chair, $299

I have a chair in my bedroom that my dog uses as her bed at night - it's the only reason I keep it in there.
I just bought the Avington Slipper Chair at Target and it fits perfectly in my bedroom--costs around $140.

I have a DCM in my bedroom and it is absolutely a clutter magnet. But then again, so am I.
The Henriksdal chair (even though it's actually a chair meant for a dinning room table) http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39861423 is what I have in my bedroom corner, and it works out perfectly. It's just the right size: not so big that it collects too much "stuff," but also not so small that you feel like it's nonfunctional! And I'm all for chairs in bedrooms, I sort of think they round out the space.
I use my bedroom chair to sit in when I tie my shoes. I like chairs in bedrooms as long as you have the right scale chair for the room and the room is big enough to take it. I don't like the first pic with the yellow very high ceiling and the chair cramped next to the bed. It feels like it would be very difficult to sleep in this unfinished space. Ditto with the red futon in the white room with chairs towering overhead...
been eyeing this chair for our bedroom: http://www.inmod.com/eurostyle-oliana-chair.html
i really don't like ikea for any number of reasons but that stockholm chair is awesome. we have one and i like to read in it a lot. great coffee chair :)
I have a nice captain's chair I picked up at a garage sale for $1 in my bedroom. I don't ever sit in it but I do throw my clothes on it.
I used to have a chair that was a clutter magnet - I would throw clothes onto it instead of sorting them and putting them away. My solution? I got a nicer chair! Now that I have a chair that I think is beautiful (a Victorian budoir chair) I keep it clutter free so that I can see it. And it makes my bedroom look much nicer. And it's practical because you can sit there to put on shoes, read, etc.
