Using materials as simple as cotton balls or cellophane packaging from the recycle bin, we've found 5 simple garlands you can make with the kids.
Any of these would look great on a tree but they also go nice draped on a mirror or hanging as a swag across a doorway.

These are all very clever and cute. I'm sure my oldest would want to munch on Martha's gumdrop garland though : ) I had another idea for a home made garland. How about elbow pasta? Dip them in glue and then some glitter and string them on some bakers twine. You could even use different color glitter or just use all silver or gold for a modern and simple look.
Candy garland is too damn cute.
