Name: Kate Location: Honolulu, HI A/V or Home Office: Home Office Favorite Source: Why, Apartment Therapy, of course! Even if I can't afford or get anything featured on the site, I'll often ask myself "how can I replicate that?" What inspired you? I suppose I should say most of my inspirations come from my mother. She loves bold colors everywhere, and even in her office she always has bright clipboards, sticky notes, and highlighters--as a result, I love being surrounded by bright color everywhere. She also taught me to approach everything from unconventional angles, which is how I wound up with my entire filing system and cable storage climbing my walls.

Since I also got a terrible memory from my mom, I need to see any open projects or pieces of tech right in front of me, or else I'll forget it exists.

Great Tip: Velcro tape works very, very well to keep items organized which you have to move around frequently. My on the wall iPod dock is done with velcro tape, and I store my Apple Remote the same way.
