And given that I don’t really have more time in the summer than I do in any other season, I’m especially fond of quick and easy projects. (You know…the kind that give you a great sense of accomplishment, even if they only took an hour or two!)
Real Living magazine gets this, and to prove it, they’ve compiled a list of 15 projects that can be done in a weekend.
5 favorites:
1. Typographic night light Trip the light type-tastic with an artist’s canvas and spotlight. Sure to set your word-loving heart aglow.
2. Woolly bench A yarnbomb-inspired seating solution, this bench turns bare wood into a woolen wonder.
3. Cool coatrack Create a PVC picker-upper with a can of spray paint, some MDF and a few casters. Now there’s an idea to hang your hat on!
4. Studded side table Add a touch of rocker edge to any old side table with some studs and a glue gun. Metal mosaic or musing message - it’s up to you.
5. Fabric lanterns Cheap and cheerful, these paper lanterns would add pop to any place. (Imagine them in Merimekko…!)

Ercol Bar Stool
i don't know...i think i get more done in the winter when it's not so hot and there are not so many distractions :)
That coat rack is so fresh, practical and portable. It looks industrial too; I thought it was metal pipe when I first saw it.
