5 Reasons Why This Small Space Is Super Smashing

Often times when you have a small space, you have to choose between having a conversational area and an entertainment area. We spotted this look over at Zach and Heather's house on Apartment Therapy LA and there's 5 reasons we think it's one of the best media set ups we've seen in awhile!

1 Chairs & A Sofa: Most spaces have one or the other when square footage is short supply, but the chairs under the television keeps the traffic flowing and leaves room for more than the occupants of the space to sit and have a chat.

2 Artwork Behind The TV: Although we've talked about hanging artwork on the wall around the tv in the past, we like the idea of hanging it slightly behind the tv as well. It helps the space feel a bit more blended together and less patchwork-y and more intentional.

3 Plants: We love... love plants around our tech. They make anything instantly warmer and more home-y. Although you need to water them away from the components, picture this space without them. It turns into a wall of stuff, with some chairs and some art... instead of a completed space.

4 Where's The Sub Woofer?: Again with the plants! It has something on top so it doesn't scream "speaker" and blends in with the space. Usually they stick out like a sore thumb.

5 Personality: Even though the space is small, there's still family photos, trinkets, books, magazines and more. There aren't many of these items and they don't overwhelm the area but they do provide a sense of family and personality.
