Up and down the West Coast, there are plenty of stops just waiting for you to make a day trip (or more!). Whether you decide to explore the creative scene of the Northwest or the desert style of the Southwest, you're sure to find a destination worth your while.

Shop Local in Seattle

The enterprising Pacific Northwest is home to many small businesses and shops run by creative people who would love to have you pop in. If you only have time for one stop, hit up NuBe Green and Totokaelo, right next door to each other in Capitol Hill.

Bay Days in San Francisco

The city by the bay has a funky charm with plenty to keep you occupied for as long as you're there. Shop Heath Ceramics, visit SFMOMA, eat Bar Tartine, and if you have some extra time, jump over and explore some of Oakland, too.

Live Grand in L.A.

If Los Angeles is within driving distance, you know you have a great road trip on your plate. Start your big day downtown with trips to "huge" destinations like Grand Park and Grand Central Market, but don't miss must-sees like the Los Angeles Conservancy, the Griffith Observatory and Case Study House #8.

Warm Up to Desert Style in Palm Springs

If you want to be surrounded by style, Palm Springs is the place. This desert destination has a vibe all its own. If you can swing it, its a great place to hotel hop; spend at least one night at The Saguaro and another at the Parker.

Take a History Lesson in Tuscon

Drop by Tuscon for great food and great shopping, but make sure not to miss some of the historic places while you're there, like the DeGrazia Gallery In the Sun, Mission San Xavier del Bac, and the seasoned neighborhoods of Barrio Libre and the Presidio.
