They've been around for awhile but we're still loving the look of a knitted pouf. Its soft textural shape is at once simple and complicated. And with the onset of cold weather, the mere presence of knitted cotton seems comforting. We rounded up five affordable knit pouf options, available in a fairly broad range of colors. If you're up for a little DIY, we also rounded up a couple tutorials.
• CB2 offers a knitted pouf in two colors - graphite and blood orange. 18" diameter, 14" high, 100% cotton $89.95
• Plow and Hearth has a Hand-Knitted Pouf Ottoman available in four colors - beige, light blue, olive and orange. 20" diameter, 14" high, 100% cotton. $79.95
• World Market offers four color choices - charcoal, chili pepper, oasis, mallard green. 20" diameter, 14" high, 100% cotton. $79.99
• Wayfair stocks a Cable Knit Pouf that's available in seven different colors. 20" diameter, 14" high 100% cotton. $136
• Etsy Choose handcrafted and you have a lot more color and size options.

Not really my style but I do love the look of this striped one on Etsy...

Target has ones that looks exactly like the CB2 poufs, but they are mostly jute rather than cotton. They're cheaper, too, around 50 bucks I think? Maybe a bit less. They have them in graphite and beige, though they don't seem to be available through their website.
Is that image from a house tour? Looks lovely!
I saw those, too! I feel like they had some brighter colors in addition to the neutrals. And yes, definitely cheaper - $40-50, I think.
Or make you own? Tutorial here:

I've also seen them recently at World Market for > $60, I think.
We have a red knit poof, it's delightful to look at, but unfortunately our cat decided it was her new bed. These things are impossible to clean cat hair out of - just a warning!
I madea sad attempt at this a few years ago. But mine stretched out to the size of a bean bag chair. It was fine, except that you could see the stuffing between the stitches. I used three strands of Red Heart with size 11 needles. If I ever get motivated to do this again, I would use a poly rope.
Fab.com has at least a gray one that's lighter than the CB2 gray for I think about $68.
Anybody know where that rug in the photo can be gotten?
It looks like a simple sisal rug. You can get them everywhere.
