We've shared our Best Tips When Traveling With Your Laptop, but now we thought we should share a few tips on what you should bring with you on your next excursion. These may be not a necessity to everyone &mdash but if you're a techie, they will be.
&bull 1. Smart Phone: this is an important feature while traveling and will prove to be extremely useful. Through the use of apps you'll find local restaurants (complete with reviews), museums, parks and even theater showtimes. If you're renting a car, you'll be able to do so with an app, check into your hotel via mobile device and even go paper-free boarding pass style when you're getting on your plane.
&bull 2. Camera: this is a no-brainer, even though you could technically use your smart phone to document your trip. There will be so many unique and interesting people, places and things you'll see along your journey and you'd hate to forget it all the second you step back into your home.
&bull 3. Card Reader/USB cord: if you plan on taking as many pictures as we would if we were on vacation, you'd better bring that card reader with you (unless of course you have 10 SD cards). You'll want to dump them onto your computer (see number 4) to free up room for that next awesome spot you're going to hit tomorrow.
&bull 4. Laptop/Netbook: The plane ride is going to be long and seriously annoying, so bring your laptop. You'll be able to get free WiFi in most airports, as well as the option to pay for internet while on the flight. If you don't feel like splurging for it, you can always watch movies on it, or gasp! do work (yuck).
&bull 5. Plug Adapter: This will seriously come in handy if you're traveling overseas. It will be much easier to pack one with you as opposed to trying to purchase one as soon as you land. You'll need one of these if you plan on charging above items.
One last tip: make sure you don't forget the charger for 1, 2 & 4 or else 2 & 5 are useless!
