August - sunshine, swimming and....shopping? Well, yeah, the last one isn't what we associate with the somewhat slower pace of high summer either, but there are deals to be had on items for use at home. So, if you can brave the shops, here is what retailers always have on discount in August:

@ubertimmo -- actually I find these posts very helpful; most of us know boots go on sale in the spring, and sandals will be going on sale soon, but home items are different.

The Corn Exchange! I used to work there many years ago. I miss Leeds something awful.

Ice Cream
Insurance
Cold Beer
i';ve been to the corn exchange in leeds too! only once, but full of great lil nick nack places and independant tiny fashion stores. love it
Ah, the corn exchange - it doesn't look like this anymore - all the lovely little independent shops have been moved out so they can refurbish it into some kind of posh upmarket food hall:
