Having recently moved across the country I'm finding myself missing a lot of luxuries I acquired over the years at my previous home. When I packed up my life to move to the West Coast, I donated and got rid of a lot of things — including jewelry storage.
I had a simple jewelry stand that looked like a tiny coat rack but it was one of those non-necessities at the time that I just gave away. Now I'm missing it and well, a place in general to put my jewelry so that my cats don't adopt my gold as their new favorite toy.
I'm huge on DIY projects because they are so fun to complete and I can stand back and feel so accomplished after all is said and done. I absolutely love the idea of installing small knobs on the wall to hang necklaces and bracelets. Anthropologie has a ton of incredibly cute knobs that you can find in the sale bins at their stores in your town!

Nomade Express Slee...
I wished I owned enough Jewelry to have some sort of creative display!
I love the 2nd one.
this is great.. i recently moved all my jewelry into a piano bench and am in the process of looking for small dividers/containers to separate everything out!
I use a vintage cup rack - a wood accordian, diamond style. It works great and looks good with our farmhouse/transitional decor.
Super cool! I've recently started making jewelry, and I'm having a blast with it...which means I need more storage space. I love the third and the fifth displays (especially the fountain!), and will probably do something similar.
I love the door knob idea! I repurposed a vintage frame purchased at a local thrift store & a cork board covered in fabric + insect pins to display my favorite jewelry in my bedroom (you can see a photo of it here: http://papercuthearts.wordpress.com/2011/11/08/our-home-featured-on-etsys-get-the-look/) it looks nice too & the jewelry doesn't get tangled up. & it's an easy project I found via Real Simple a while back. The insect pins are black as is the fabric I used to cover the cork board so it's a seamless look too!
I love the piano bench idea, mcmomma.
I use a tie rack (this kind: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=14387757) to hang all my necklaces. It also works for bracelets, scarves, etc. I'm going on my second one at this point. You could probably spray paint it if it will be showing and you wanted to give it some character, but mine is inside a closet so I didn't care.
just bought the silver box from west elm, nice box but it sits in the back of my closet.
I have no space to display them , much nicer to use one of your examples.
Inpsired by earlier AT posts on this topic, but too lazy/uncrafty to make something like this myself, I bought a great jewelry display thingie on Etsy. It has hooks for necklaces and a sort of mesh thing to stick earrings into: http://www.etsy.com/listing/77776918/three-legged-race-jewelry-holder-8-x-10
These are all so clever. My friend and I were just discussing storage and accessories. I enjoy displaying some pieces of jewelry as art and these are great DIY ideas.
The dividers Bisley makes are great for jewelry.
I have those spools in the first photo..now I know what to do with them.
I love this display: http://duchesscraft.com/?p=258
I love the last picture with the white framed jewelry board. Where can I get the gold backing inside of the frame?
