The Utby stainless steel table at IKEA is a simple, classic design suitable for lots of uses. It's versatile because it's available at two heights, the legs can be purchased alone and paired with any top you like, and it has a shelving option, too. Here, we've pulled together a few different ways to use it from around the web:
Here is the plain old Utby at IKEA. And here's how it's been used as pictured in the gallery up top:

The cabinets in picture three are the same ones we have in our new Ikea kitchen. The table looks great in there.
Love the Utby - a lot of Ikea's pieces are really timeless and built to last.

Count me as a confirmed fan of the Utby. It's like a sturdy barge for all the heavy stuff!
I work in a cafe where our Utby serves as the milk/sugar bar, and trust me--this table gets a lot of abuse! It's simple, sturdy, and durable. Despite the countless hot coffee spills and sticky sugar residue, I can just quickly wipe the counter down with a wet tea towel and it's good as new.
We love ours as a breakfast bar. It is an excellent fit between the kitchen and living room, and the stainless steel finish matches our appliances perfectly!
I have one and love it. I went to buy a new top and was told they are discontinuing it. :( They recommended the vikka top that worked pretty good)
