Like tiny cheese rounds aren't cute enough, now people are monogramming them or turning them into art pieces. Well, that's one way to help make sure your kids are getting their calcium — make their food irresistible. Very clever.
Here are but 5 examples of the many Babybel cheese masterpieces we found searching the web:
1. Angry Bird on Cute Food for Kids
2. 5 little girls on Cute Food for Kids
3. Ladybugs on Edible Crafts
4. Hungry caterpillar on Flickr
5. "U" for Inicorn on Cookie Cutter Lunch
While we certainly don't all have the time or talent to pull off such cheese art, we can at least appreciate the fun these lunch makers must have, not to mention their recipients. I have to admit, I am considering buying a set of mini letter cookie cutters to get started.

My daughter and I LOVE Babybel! And I love these ideas even more. I'm getting really into the whole bento fun food concept, esp with Kindergarten looming soon, I feel compelled to send her off with fun lunch...
love!
These pictures are styled super cute, but I have 4 kids under 7 and spend too high a percentage of every meal asking them to stop playing with their food to consider it for even a second.
I agree with Angus, it can be very hard to keep kids from playing with their food rather than eating it sometimes, and this just plays into the notion that eating is playtime.
While this may be a fun idea for a party, and perhaps even including something like this in a child's school lunch, it is a ridiculous idea as a routine for getting your kid to eat their lunch or dinner.
In my opinion this goes right along with Happy Meals, and other fast food menus for kids where they kid gets a toy in their meal.
I have seen more kids who were more interested in playing with the toy than actually eating the overcooked processed junk that passes for food in many of these establishments.
It is much easier to start them out at least trying new foods and teaching them dinner is a place to eat, spend time with family, and act in a respectful manner. Besides, when they are hungry, they will eat.
Does making food cute really make your kids more eager to eat it? if so, when do your kids stop expecting their food to be styled and cute?
You've featured a few of these cute food posts lately. I find this trend to be really irritating both from the perspective of a parent who is already feeling pressure to give my child, who's 3, the best of everything, to be the best at everything. I also question the value in getting our kids used to being tended to like royalty. I give my son all the love and support I can, but I won't be monogramming his waxed cheeses.
And are those jimmies on that sandwich?
@Rebecca_South: it is moms like you who give me hope for the future. Bravo!
Geez, whats the harm in putting a little fun in the kids lunch? It's cheese.
I don't think I'd want to do this for every lunch but I could totally see doing this for a birthday party.
