Even though you may live in a small space, you still need tools. Small homes put storage space at a premium, and walls are sometimes the best place to stow your stuff. Wall-mounted tool organizers can hide inside closet doors or in out-of-the-way nooks. We've rounded up five options with photos above and links below...
• 1 From Rockler: Use a magnetic tool strip.
• 2 From Martha: Hang them inside a closet door.
• 3 Also from Martha: The pegboard tool organizer.
• 4 From Lowe's: Use a perforated wall-mounted strip.
• 5 From the Container Store: Use modular wall-mounted bins.

Please note that the first item on the list "From Rockler: Use a magnetic tool strip." links to Martha Stewart's pegboard organizer web page, not a page about magnetic tool strips.
My pegboard tools aren't nearly as neat as Martha's (big surprise!) but this stuff really did revolutionize our space and the way we use it: http://stylenorth.ca/blog/2009/04/pegboard-the-best-20-youll-ever-spend/
Thanks, Mom to four. The link has been fixed.
I've got a way to mount tools.
I use an over-the-door shoe rack to store tools on the inside of a closet door. No drilling, hammer or nails required to mount!
