School's out and everyone's home. You eat breakfast, paint, make playdough, build a fort, and do a science experiment - only to look at the clock and find it's only 10 am. What to do? Get a lot of ideas - and keep them close at hand!

1 This list of 50 ideas from Kiwi is a great place to start. Add some of them to your Summer Bucket List while you're at it.

A few of our favorites:

• Visit another country at home. Cook a meal, learn key phrases or a traditional dance, and read travel guides. Research popular children's games and play them.
• Dress up in wacky costumes and have an outdoor photo shoot.
• Gather up some stale bread and feed ducks at a nearby lake or pond.
• Birdwatch.

2 Martha has her own list of 60 activities here. How about making your beach towel into a giant tick tack toe board? Lots of other creative ideas here.

3 14 Cheap Summer Activities from Frugal Dad.

4 Summer Activities for the Kids from Tip Junkie. She links up to some really great ideas here.

A few of these are from last year, but hey, summer fun doesn't really change a whole lot. Hopefully this is enough to last you - at least a few weeks!
