I'm inspired by many things including interiors and design from around the world. The intense (and subtle) colors found in nature are inspirational as well. Everything from various plant and animal life to decaying matter.
I also love cityscapes and industrial landscapes. Old cities tend to showcase a broad range of color and texture examples. Peeling paint layers expose generations of inspiration giving one a glimpse into past lives and personalities. 2 Good color tips: 1. Look at various books on art and design (not only interiors) to get ideasnfor color combinations. Nature also provides us with an unlimited color/texture palette. I also think that you can find beautiful colors and textures in decaying materials as well as industrial landscapes. 2. I tend to pick colors that complement things I own (and vice-versa). In new environments I don't like to use colors I've used before as it's always good to try new things. 2 good color resources: 1&2. Nature (plant, animal, mineral) Foreign cities (like Barcelona, Bombay, etc.) Books (art, design, photography, etc.) Fabrics, paper
