Martha always has good organizing ideas, and many of them involve pegboard. The lady loves it. We searched through the MS archives for a few of our favorite ideas. Follow the links below to step-by-step instructions for pegboard projects anywhere from the closet to the kitchen...

Pegboard is a functional backdrop for a recycling station. In the kitchen, it can also hold baskets, pots, and pans.

Two classic places for pegboard: the craft room and the garage/workshop. Martha provides step-by-step instructions for painting and framing a pegboard to give it a little more style.

Pegboard keeps office supplies in order above a desk. In the closet, it provides a surface for hanging belts and bags.

In kids' rooms, pegboard can organize toys and school supplies. If you like pegboard, but you still haven't found the right project, see Martha's instructions for how to install a pegboard anywhere in the house.

I like pegboard, but I always have trouble with the hooks coming out every time I get something off the pegboard. Any way to keep these little buggers tight?
AZKathy,
Watching the Martha Stewart video, she mentions a peglock to keep it in place. Anyone know where to get one?

I just want the Finnish lamp in the desk shot. I remember pegboard and cork board all too well from my childhood. Though the pegboard in the pantry ends up being very Julia Child.
They make little plastic things that snap in to hold the pegs in. I don't know what they're called, but I think we bought them at Home Depot or Lowes. A package contains a variety of them. Even with them, sometimes the pegs come out, but less frequently.
ditto, love the lamp!
THANKS for the extra info! I had to ask, but Home Depot did have them. Can't wait to try them.

I've had similar issues in the past. I started using the "flex-lock" pegboard hooks from the place listed below. The link I've given is to a company that offers free samples of them if you just send them a pre-stamped return envelope. I'd try a couple out and see if they work for you. I find them to be a little harder to stick into the board, but they stay very tight once you get them in.

Great suggestion Wallpeg Willy.
I used these guys to get the free sample and they ended up working out pretty great. We ended up ordering another wallpeg for my wife's jewelry and lots of those hooks.
Thanks for the suggestion, It coulden't have worked out better!
