Despite all of my attempts to reject and cancel phonebook deliveries to our house, one arrived this week. We have no use for a phonebook in its intended role; with the internet and smart phones the last place we look for an address or phone number is in that book. Luckily, Creative Loafing has come up with 6 really great ways to reuse those darned books.
Here are a couple of my favorite ways they recommend reusing your phonebooks:
- Window Wipes: The pages are perfect for cleaning windows with a simple mixture of vinegar and water.
- Wax Paper Substitute: Separate baked goods or freezer items by placing a sheet in between them.
Be sure to check out the rest at Creative Loafing. They really are good ways to reuse phonebooks and get the gigantic things out of your house. And, of course, if you don't want to reuse them they are recyclable.
