So, according to the influx of J.Crew and Lilly Pulitzer catalogs I've been getting in the mail, it's resort season. But with no plane tickets in hand and a cold, cloudy forecast ahead, the only vacation I see in the near future is a virtual one. Pack your bags, desk-bound voyagers, we're jet-setting to real beach homes around the world—and injecting this dreary day with sun-soaked style.

The destination: Ibiza

Living the dream: While this Mediterranean island off the coast of Spain may be best known for its club scene and electronic dance music, the decor scene promotes a much chiller vibe. In the home above from Nuevo Estilo, spotted on sfgirlbybay, worn metal outdoor furniture topped with tufted linen cushions typifies an island that strikes a balance between lax and luxe.

The destination: Tulum, Mexico

Living the dream: If you still catch yourself daydreaming about the sandy white beaches and Mayan-inspired architecture found in last year's "it" vacation destination in Mexico, you may be tempted to move to this coastal abode. Designed by Specht Architects and featured on 10 Stunning Homes, the house features wooden louvers in place of glass windows, letting the sea breezes float through the home.

The destination: St. Barts

Living the dream: Americans Matt and Kate Holstein remodeled a 1,000-square-foot villa on this French-speaking Caribbean island, outfitting it with mostly white furnishings and woven accents. Thankfully, Design Sponge photographed the space, in all its calming, neutral-colored glory, so we can live vicariously.

The destination: Trancoso, Brazil

Living the dream: When he isn't reporting the news in front of millions for CNN, Anderson Cooper prefers to hide away in Trancoso, an under-the-radar beach town in Brazil. Architectural Digest photographed the journalist's getaway, complete with beds draped in mosquito netting and an outdoor shower built inside a tree trunk.

The destination: Capri, Italy

Living the dream: If this home's white vaulted ceilings and citrus tree grove don't snap you out of the winter doldrums, then the soft golden sunlight and panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples surely will. Take the virtual tour on Elle Decor to explore the terraces and guest rooms.

The destination: St. Tropez

Living the dream: In his vacation home along the French Riviera, Giorgio Armani is miles away from gray winter days. Browse through the full tour on Vogue Living to relax virtually beside the Italian designer's tree-shaded pool, or lounge in the light-filled loggia, above.

The destination: Sydney, Australia

Living the dream: A family of four (plus a Boston terrier pup) call this seaside split-level home. Classic beachy designs—think weatherboard and nautical striped textiles—combine with IKEA finds and inherited pieces to build a home that's delightfully unpretentious. Let the tour on Inside Out bring a little sunshine to a cloudy day.
