White Enamel Flatwa...
Very cool looking chairs. I particularly like 1,6 and 2.
Does anybody like to sit in lounge chairs without arms? And what about those deep chairs (like my favorite #6)? I have bought great looking chairs before only to find out that most of my visitors prefer seating that is a bit higher. It would be interesting to hear your experiences?
Imola chair is sexy.
The Poang is the only one that is remotely affordable... and it's also the most ubiquitous.
Something about that first chair looks off putting, almost as if it might eat you if you sat in it. The tufting looks grabby.
@Pinkalbatross, I do prefer lounge chairs without arms. I'm tall and usually find the arms on chairs to be the wrong height or position for me. I like space around my torso, too. I don't like to feel trapped.
With the trend toward bigger backsides, too -- at least in the US -- it's good to have a "wide" range of seating.
Square footage is too valuable to outfit with anything that cannot be relaxed upon; so no matter how cool the look, I wouldn't consider anything without arms for lounging. For a foyer, something like that might work--but I wouldn't put it anyplace else.
They all look good.
Figures, my favorites are the MOST EXPENSIVE!!
You can get #7 for much cheaper than that. Avenue 6 furniture makes the same chair for around $200.
So, number 7 is a Chinese knock-off of an Italian design from B&B. I think that promoting a knock-off of a well-made piece is a bit disheartening for a reputable design blog. It is OK to choose an inexpensive version to reference, but a feature for chair designs should reference the original, no?
^^^ not everyone can afford the real thing. design should be within reach and i think apartment therapy does a nice job of relaying that.
