Although you might not think of a broom and a dustpan as real space hogs, when your pad is pint sized, closet space to keep such things out of sight are slim and trim. Here's 8 of our favorite products that tuck away easy in the smallest of spaces!
It doesn't take long to make a small space shine, but it can be difficult to navigate around large cleaning supplies. They all take up space, but our goal is to make them unseen to visitors and free up more space for other things in your closets and under your sinks!
First Row, Left To Right
• Glassware Drying Mats: For those without a dishwasher, handwashing is a must (obviously). Many dish racks can be cumbersome and hard to store, this one simply rolls up or slides out of sight when done.
• Bissel Smart Details Polished Floor Broom: This is a long title to tell you this broom has wide bristles and has a collapsible handle allowing it to shrink up short.
• HAAN Slim and Light Steam Cleaning Floor Sanitizer: We prefer steam cleaning to traditional mops, plus, this model takes up the same amount of space. Double win!
• Shammies: These extra-absorbent towels take up very little space and soak up several times their weight in liquid. Perfect for spills and more.
• Simple Human Slim Trashcans: Although metal options might be more chic, to find one that's this slim usually means a super high price tag. We think these are a great alternative!
Second Row, Left To Right
• Hoover Platinum Collection LiNX Cordless Stick Vac: This slim vac has some real sucking power and won't hog the closet like a larger, more traditional vacuum.
• Unisan Metal Dustpan: Even though we like slim pieces for small spaces, this dust pan is a full 12"' wide, though it's not especially deep. It will slide in small spaces and handle picking up everything on your floor in one fell swoop.
• Pop Up Sponges: from Williams Sonoma. Although they're other variations on this product that might be priced a little less, this is still our brass ring of cleaning products.

What is the product name of the trash cans? I have an awkward spot in my kitchen, and I think it would fit perfectly!
Thanks anning! It's been fixed and is the Slim Step Can!
I have next to no space for drying dishes, so I use a thing long bar mat to dry my glassware:

Has anyone ever used the HAAN Slim and Light Steam Cleaning Floor Sanitizer?
That was suppose to say thin not thing*
I have that trash can and it is pretty much the best thing ever. It fits exactly perfectly into a little otherwise useless nook in my kitchen "pantry" (aka pass through with shelves). also it doesn't make annoying slamming noise like metal cans!
Rubbermaid also has a slim-fit trashcan for less - it doesn't have wheels on it, but it works well! They have it on Amazon.
I have the little Hoover vacuum. It works pretty well, but they don't sell the accessories anywhere! It's nearly impossible to buy a new filter for it.
Jose - Can you put the bar mat in the dishwasher? I love the idea, but am worried about trying to keep it mold free.
The Simple Human trashcan is very nice because it fits in a small space, but ours broke within the first week. The pedal-opening mechanism needs to be repaired all the time (you can do it your self, but it's irritating) and it makes a horrible whining sound when it closes.
@katszeye: I have no idea. I don't own a dishwasher. I usually just hand wash it every month or so. I've never had any issues with mold.
BTW: This is the exact product i bought: http://barsupplies.com/biggie-mats-p-1672.html
Jose A - "long bar mat to dry my glassware"
Thanks! That is possibly one of the best tips I've ever seen on this site. It's exactly the right size.
I too wanna know if it will hold up in the dw. Katszeye, sometimes black rubber things get messed up by the heat of a dw, so I would turn off the dryer mechanism.
Wow - the bar mat comes in various colours, too - very nice. Thanks again.

I also see this smaller item, same idea and material, which could come in handy for a tiny corner. Check it out:
