Last week Abby rounded up some apartments with great French style in honor of Bastille Day and it got me thinking. I love how the French seem to effortlessly create chic spaces that either run minimal and modern or have the curated feel of a curiosity shoppe. Jump below for 8 apartments I wouldn't mind spending some time in.
Top Row
Simple and Modern: I love this flat from architecture firm, Ecole and the minimal way they styled this apartment. If I could live with less (or had amazing storage, this is what I would have).
Loft Chic: I'm a huge fan of Marie Claire Maison because they feature such great small spaces. I love the color and the texture in this apartment and the smart use of space.
Marc Jacobs' apartment: Of course Marc Jacobs has a dramatic, glamorous yet maculine apartment.
Apartment With History: Italian Designer Paola Navone renovated my family's old apartment and made it eclectic and wide open.
Modern with History: I found this image from Marie Claire Maison on A Cup of Jo and loved the openness and the simply done mix and match of the chairs. Somehow it stays designy without looking hodge podge or messy.
Bottom Row
Chez Fifi: A great house tour of a stacked small space that is lively and full of warmth.
Expat Love: This apartment from Cherie of Scout Holiday was featured on Design Sponge. Cherie and her husband moved to Paris and have made a home with very little stuff but lots of style.
Habitat: One of our favorite Europe only retailers Habitat included this picture in one of their catalogs a couple of years ago and I've hung onto it. The mix and matched chairs, the plants, the piles, it has the laissez faire quality of the french with the crispness of a Scandinavian interior.

Congrats Laure! Nice place you've got there.
It seems the Europeans have a love of, and no fear of, color, and mixing it to their hearts desire. I love it. And the white painted exposed brick makes a wonderful background for many style options.
I can't wait for Habitat to open over here, I miss them so much.
I wish these were holiday apartments! Planning a two-month trip to Paris with the fam over christmas and would love an apartment that was as pretty as these!
I love Paris, so this was a treat to see, especially the kitchen with that vintage fridge, love it and all the things on top of it and the book case. I saw a larger version of this photo, the kitchen is amazingly bohemian Paris..so my style.
