During Before and After month, it's easy to get wrapped up in all the gorgeous, large-scale projects from readers, the blogosphere, and home design magazines. However, even a small-scale project, like new throw pillows or curtains, can rejuvenate a room and make you happier to walk into it. If you're thinking about a sewing project for your home, these bird print fabrics may be just right.
Depending on fabric weight, they're ideal for sewing curtains, upholstering a side chair, or making a pillow cover in 5 minutes. A few of them would look especially sweet used to make fabric buckets. The birds range from streamlined to downright goofy — a sign that no matter what your style, there's probably a bird fabric out there for your home, mood, and project.

Put a bird on it! :)
put a bird on it!
Am the only one who thinks "Partridge Family" when I see the first one?
Probably.
Luv these birds! I recently sewed curtains for our western North Carolina cabin (Sit a Spell Cabin) from some cool owl fabric - can see it here http://www.tonicliving.com/productsdetails.asp?productid=1852 on Tonic Living. Hoot!
@Doobie - nope, I was singing the Partridge Family theme and picturing Rueben Kinkade ordering them onto the bus!
Love #s 1, 2, 5, and 8.
It always REALLY bums me out when I find fabric I love- at $90/m. Seriously. I would love to make curtains from #2 or #4, but this is insanely out of my price range. :( So sad.
Adorable! I'd like to add this custom fabric from etsy seller melbomba...

No, I had to open this post up just because I was thinking "Partridge Family!" when I saw that first fabric :) I wanted to find the source, because I knew I needed to make something Partridge Family-esque for my sister with it :)
