I was recently helping a friend brainstorm ideas for putting together a little play store for her son when I came across this terrific DIY version that Sibylle of Funkytime put together a few years ago mostly using IKEA parts.

Can you guess which IKEA product became her primary component? $10 wood shoe racks which she held together with 2 x 4s. She constructed the play market in her driveway and then moved it up to her daughter's room.
