Southwest is the smallest DC quadrant, but perhaps one of the fastest growing communities in DC thanks to its beautiful waterfront views and easy access to the mall area as well as Virginia. Mr. Kelly seems to have slipped in just in time. He bought the condo in 2006, and has since renovated his 1965 condo to make the most of its tiny footprint.
Urban Turf explains that the original unit had a long, dark entrance hallway, a choppy layout, and a bathroom and kitchen that had seen better days. To update the condo and maximize efficiency, Mr. Kelly created a curved wall that begins at the front door and sweeps through to the kitchen entrance, encapsulating the functional spaces and opening up the living/dining room.

Nomade Express Slee...
I really like this space. I laughed when I saw the typical "designer out of touch with the real, functioning world" art piece... on the small kitchen counter top... LOL Just cut your veggies around it, I guess. The murphy bed is terrific as is the wall/floor/ceiling color scheme. Nice :-)
i like the interrier of this house and the way design is created just awesome .

This is remarkable! The contrast between the final two pictures is great!

What's on the walls in the kitchen? That texture has me drooling!
Beautiful floor.
Gorgeous! I just hope he doesn't experience what I did living on the waterfront (someone breaking into my apartment, ransacking it and destroying or stealing half my possessions). That would just be heartbreaking. :(
I'm with Minyuette-what is that?!? I need a backsplash...or, as the British call it, splashback.
This is the info that was in the full article:
" The wall behind the stove is clad in a CNC-routed MDF panel that he painted a pale aqua to complement the tones of the wood cabinetry."
What a perfect calming palette and uncluttered interior for a waterfront property. Beautiful.
