This is Katie's table. It's been in their family home for the last 12 years and it was sitting sad and lonely in the garage. It's a basic find from IKEA and though it looks like it had little life in it, that couldn't be further from the truth. Katie has revamped it and by looking at it now, you wouldn't have a clue it was the same piece. Seriously, you have to see this.
Katie had a vision that many of us might not have been so inspired to see and we're so glad she's shared this project
with us! With a drill and a hand saw, this old table went from ho hum to holy smokes!
It had detail added to the sides and a fresh coat of paint and we're pretty sure we've never been so inspired by a $69 table before. It's a great project to store away for the next time you need an office desk, a cool focal point or are just looking to dress up a Craigslist find.
Make sure to stop in and say hi to Katie and check out more details on how she completed the project over at Matsutake.
